The
Marakata Sri Lakshmi Ganapathi Temple, established in April 2016, located in
Sai Nagar, Kanajiguda is a magnificent edifice of worship that is drawing a
growing number of devotees and volunteers with each passing day. The inner
sanctum houses an idol of the main deity Lord Sri Lakshmi Ganapathi sculpted
from Emerald (Marakatha), the rare and enchanting gemstone that has been a
source of fascination and reverence in Indian culture for millennia. The temple is
formed under The Trusts Act 1882 under the name of “Marakatha Sri Laxmi
Ganapathi Devalaya Trust” (Reg. No. 12/BKIV/2017).

The
attraction of this temple lies in the uniqueness of its conception and the
beauty of its manifestation. This magnificent temple is a manifestation of the
Divine Will. Temple Founder and Chairman BrahmaSri Vachaspati Dr. Mothkuru
Satyanarayana Shastri was blessed with a divine vision of Mother Goddess Sri
Vidya in which he was directed to build a temple of Sri Lakshmi Ganapathi that
will serve the spiritual needs of the society. After a long search to find the right
location for the Temple and upon the approval of Mother Goddess Sri Vidya, the
Temple Bhoomi pooja was performed on November 27th, 2009 at Plot No.
6, Sai Nagar Colony, Kanajiguda – the current location of the Temple.
